The canyon is just magnificent, Though it´s pretty hard to find the entry!Īfter you bought the permit from the Navajos, you get a map and be told where to park. We had an awesome day at the Waterholes Canyon. The park is open and nobody checks permit but I find it only fair to pay before I step on land I do not belong to! Very nice narrows after 20min walk - not as impressive as lower Antelope but very nice start! And no people! if you do not have 2 hours available go to the left. Public path is to right up to the bridge and to the left up to the power lines. Once you are in make a pic so you remember where you cane down. Some stones on the ground show you the hike trail to get into the canyon. It is at the same road as Horseshoe bend, further south from page on the US89. so fair and I was happy to pay! If you visit Antelope canyon at the same day this will be accepted and you do not have to pay the permit again. You can see the picture of the trailer below. Lake Powell Navajo Tribal Park, Page, AZ 86040, USA Google maps brings you there if you use the following address : We read to get it in Leechee, 10min south of Page. we read that they might tow the car if you do not have the permit. As we had sone time in the morning we decided to go there and were not disappointed! We only crossed 6 other people - a luxury in page □
